My Best Teacher: My Baba

My Baba, My Best Teacher

By Nabaa Faisal Ghauri, age 7

My name is Nabaa. I am 7 years old.
I like coloring, stories, and hugs.
But the best thing in the world is...
my Baba.

He is my best teacher.
Not just for school,
But for life.

Baba teaches me how to be a good Muslimah.

When I eat, he says:
“Say Bismillah!”
When I finish, he smiles and says:
“Say Alhamdulillah!”

When the Adhan plays, Baba stops his work.
He goes to the masjid to pray.
I stay home and pray with Amma.
Baba says,
“We always answer Allah first.”

One day, I found a shiny coin on the ground.
I picked it up and showed Baba.
He asked,
“Is it yours?”
I said,
“No, but no one was there.”
Baba gently said,
“We don’t keep what’s not ours. Allah is always watching.”
So we left it back where we found it.

Baba says:
“Islam is not just about praying,  it’s also about being kind, honest, and good to others.”

At bedtime, Baba tells me stories of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
He teaches me how the Prophet was gentle and full of good manners.

Before I sleep, I whisper:
“Thank You, Allah, for my Baba.”

He teaches me with love.
He teaches me with smiles.
He teaches me with his actions.

That’s why I say:
My Baba is my best teacher. And I love him very much.
